The thermal camera can immediately identify failed or failing panels due to hotspots in the thermal display. This allows for the dispatch of repair crews to a precise location, saving time searching for a faulty or failed panel.

Hot-swappable payloads allows inspectors to rapidly change out imaging systems. For example, a wind-turbine may require both visual and thermal inspections; landing the aircraft, changing out the camera system, and return to flight takes but a few seconds.

The E50 camera-gimbal combination may be swapped for an E90 or CGO-ET camera-gimbal combo without power cycling the airframe. The quick release and lock mechanism of the gimbal and airframe mounting system enables fast and efficient exchange of cameras.
